How to measure the belt:

You will notice that all V belts also sometimes referred to as wedge shaped belts are measured across the top think section and the depth of the belt. This means you would measure the widest part of the belt (thick section) and then from the widest part to the narrowest part of the belt. Please refer to the images below noting where the measurements are taken.

V belt Measuring Guide

The different types or sections of V belt are measured slightly differently when it comes to their length. Z, A, B, C, D, E section V belts are measured with an internal length, and the SPZ, SPA, SPB, SPC and the XPZ, XPA, XPB, and XPC section V belts are measured externally including cog section V belts (which are toothed and denoted with an X) and this is clearly demarcated when clicking through the different belt sections but an example of this is below (noting A section is measured internally and SPZ externally).
